2005 Island Packet 420

The 2005 Island Packet 420 was the latest generation of Island Packet designs, and embodies a host of proven design and construction features for the time that have evolved over years of boatbuilding experience and via feedback of thousands of owners. Representing a significant evolution from earlier models in this size range, the IP420 still delivers the combination of seakeeping, safety, stability and speed coupled with the comfort, liveability, and value that makes Island Packet Yachts America?s Cruising Yacht Leader. The Island Packet 420 received the award for 'Best Full Size Cruiser' in the 2000 Boat Of The Year competition as conducted by Cruising World magazine.

The cabin has 2 well appointed berths, galley and heads that comfortably sleep 6 -7 people.  With 6'-5" head room, 8 hatches and 15 stainless steel and glass ports (including screens) it makes for roomy and airy living and entertaining.

Once stepping onboard, you can immediately tell that the owners have been particular in it's maintenance and upkeep.  When we visited, it was difficult to tell that this ship was ever used, in fact, both cabin showers never were!

In the cockpit are full cushions & stern seats with backrest cushions. Leather grab rails on dodger, bimini, connector and side curtains all in excellent condition. Edson cup holders, folding teak table, helmsman's seat and shower make it comfortable and functional.  All exterior teak has all been redone in 2016!

All woodwork, internal and external, is brilliant and clean.  She is absolutely a dream boat.  

The galley is pristine.  Shiny stainless steel sink, Seafrost refrigeration, Force 10 Propane Stove (3 burners), oven and broiler, Microwave with plenty of space to work.

4 sails, Main, Jenny, Staysail, 2008 Spinnaker with sock, are all original Quantum and are considered excellent for their age.  Adjustable topping lift, mast winches (2), Charleston Spar boom and cruising spinnaker set up.

Harken furling system, with 7 Lewmar winches (2-#54, 2-#44, 3-#16).

• Raymarine ST60 depth, ST60 knot and wind instruments.
•  24" Raymarine Radar and ST6001 Autopilot w/remote.
• C1120 Chart Plotter.
