Catalina 385 - main image

2014 Catalina 385

location icon Stonington, Connecticut
Year 2014
Length 38 ft
Builder/Manufacturer Catalina Yachts
Price
$212,000

One of the best designs from Catalina this 385 combines excellent sailing character and strength to always bring you home safely. Comforts are many and as the predecessor C380 model this has aged well and always improved. Gerry Douglas's design abilities really shine in this model.

This fin keel model allows closer sailing to the wind and is 1000#  lighter than the wing keel model  making sailing performance much stronger. The full batten mainsail has an efficient shape with a larger roach and thus a larger overall sail area. This PERFORMANCE model is faster!   Even light air sailing is fun again!

Ample diesel power as an auxiliary will never disappoint. Ease of sail handling has been improved with a Doyle Stack Pac and makes that harbor entry less stressful.  This offering features a great sailing package with a Standard rig  full batten main sail and FIN KEEL. Carrying beam well aft keeps her on track and can be sailed briskly due to large quarters.

Call to see this boat soon! Price right at $212K with additional gear this is super deal!

Lead keels, long travelers for precise sail control, and lengthy inboard genoa tracks so the sail plan is balanced in all wind conditions are just a few of the many design features that sets the Catalina 385 apart from other yachts.

More unique features include a watertight StrikeZone™ collision bulkhead aft of the anchor locker. A backstay system creates an impressive cockpit for the avid sailor, and Catalina’s unique SecureSocket™ chain plates mast support system affords superior load resolution.

The 385's beam is carried well aft for a spacious cockpit; modest freeboard reduces windage and a beautiful hand-finished teak interior brings it all home with classic warmth and styling that has been a trademark of Catalina for 41 years.
